3 Bisan Hassan Shaaban Halasa (19) 
Bisan was a 3rd year medical student. She loved her cat and hoped she would be able to save the lives of people, and cats. Before her death, she wrote on X: “I have dreams that I have not yet achieved. I have a life I have not yet fully lived. I have a family that I love and fear for. Me and my people are subjugated, persecuted, killed, and tortured in an open-air prison.” Bisan was killed at home, with her mother, sister Marah and brother Omar. And her cat. 

2 Yusuf (7)
His name is Yusuf. It is impossible to forget his mother's hope while describing him "a 7-year-old, curly hair, pretty face", her despair, and his brother's wails wanting him back. His father, a medic, knew he went missing. He went looking in the hospital for a 7-year-old when a journalist recognized the children’s description and realized he had found him under the rubble. The father found his son's body in the hospital where he works.

6 Suhaib 
The red-haired school kid Suhaib proudly gives his thumbs up in front of the green scenery covering his family home. He was photographed wearing new clothes bought by his father not long before they were murdered together in the Israeli raid on Gaza. 

7 Maryam 
Maryam, photographed in September at her home. She is looking at her newborn baby sister. Overjoyed because, finally, she would have someone to play with. Her happiness lasted only one month. The entire family was killed by the Israeli fighter planes targeting Gaza: Maryam, her baby-sister and whoever was visiting their home.

5 Malak
Malak was remarkably close to her sister Dana and enjoyed playing with her. Unfortunately, they died with their mother in the Israeli bombing of Gaza.

1 Habiba
This is Habiba, 9 years old from Gaza City. A pretty girl with red hair. Habiba's dream was to be a doctor. Her mother was supporting her to join the Palestinian children's council. She studied hard to speak good English to inform people about her life in Gaza. Habiba was killed in an attack on her home. They found her with an colouring brush in her lifeless hand.

8 Ali Nasr 
Ali Nasr (2) adored spending time on the beach. Gaza is situated by the sea. For many Gazans it is the only place where they can relax, enjoy the water, the sun, the view, and fresh air. Ali brought his white teddy bear to join him. He looks up smiling, showing his first teeth. He will never use them. The Israeli government ended his life and that of his mother and grandparents. 

22 Tareq
A brave ambulance worker and father named Tareq. He was a caring husband and sweet father to his children. He loved his work for the ambulance and did everything he could to keep people healthy. Unfortunately, his passion ended after the ambulance he drove was bombed. 

24 Al Shaima Akram Seidam 
Girls in the refugee camps in Gaza are always doing very well at school. In July it was announced on television that Al Shaima earned an average of 99.6%, the highest result in Palestine’s national secondary education examination 2023. After summer she started her study at university. After less than two months Al-Shaima was killed with all members of her family when Israeli missiles hit the al-Nuseirat refugee camp.

26 Viola and Yara Amash 
Viola and Yara were seeking shelter with hundreds of people in the compound of the Saint Porphyrius Greek Orthodox church in Gaza City. The precision rockets and missiles that hit the church did not distinguish between Christians and Muslims.  The sisters were killed together with 14 others. at the place where they were baptised and recently married. 

28 Heba Zaqout 
Heba Zaqout was an acrylic artist born in 1984 in Gaza. The 39-year-old visual artist and schoolteacher was killed alongside her two small sons, Adam and Mahmoud, during a missile strike on October 13th. She was the sole breadwinner of her family and is survived by her husband and two children. In her artworks she explored daily Palestinian life and heritage, and documented what it is like to be expelled from your land and live under occupation.  

34 Salam Mema 
  Salam Mema, a freelance journalist, was recovered from rubble three days after her home in the Jabaliya camp in northern Gaza was hit on October 10th. Mema was head of the female journalists committee at the Palestinian Media Assembly, an organisation committed to advancing media work for Palestinian journalists. 

Another sweet baby lost

48 Iman Al-Oqaily 
Iman Al-Oqaily is a journalist and a mother of 2 little heroes. She wrote a message to her son Al-Baraa on his second birthday, to tell him that he means the world to her. Recently, an Israeli plane bombed her house, killing her and her two sons, Al-Baraa (two years old) and Osama (newborn) while her husband Mohammad was buying them food.   

49 Heba Abu Nada 
  Heba Abu Nada (32) was a novelist and Poet. Her last poem, written the day before she was killed by Israeli bombs at Khan Younis, stated:  The night in the city is dark, except for the glow of the missiles;  silent, except for the sound of the bombing;  terrifying, except for the reassuring promise of prayer;  black, except for the light of the martyrs.  Good night 

20 A just married couple after the birth of their baby. Nothing could destroy their happiness. Except the murder on their world by Israel.

18 Atef Dabour  
Atef Dabour (15) was a member of Gaza’s Al-Hilal sports club. Ever since he was a child, he wanted to become a professional global football player. His ambition was crushed when an Israeli rocket took his life and that of his father Muhammad Dabour, a pathology expert, and other members of his family. 

17 Nasir Atta Alnashash (20) 
  Nasir Atta Alnashash (20) was a young football player of Khadamat Alburaiji club. He lived with his family in the Jabaliya refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli bombings forced the family to flee to the south. Nasir, his father, and uncle went back to the Jabaliya camp to collect some of their belongings. While there, Israeli missiles hit the camp. His mother and two sisters may be still alive. 

13 Omar Helasa 
Omar was not sure about his career yet. Would he become a footballer one day or maybe an astronaut? Always talking about sports or outer space, you would never get bored around him. Very cheerful, thinking of everything and anything and caring for everyone. Some said that he could as well become a good psychiatrist. Omar will never find out; he was killed with 12 others of his family. 

12 Awni Eldous 
You might have become one of the thousands of followers of Awni. He was a young YouTube gamer. Not long ago, on his way from school he celebrated on a video having 1000 subscribers. He invited everyone to join his blog, to reach his dream: 100.000 e-friends. He was killed with many of them and his 15 members of his family on October 19th. After his death more than hundred thousand visited his account. 

58 Abdallah Abi Samar.
A newborn baby was killed before even receiving his birth certificate. His parents still had to choose a name for him to be written on his death certificate. There are many baby’s like Abdallah. 

11 Eileen, Celine and family 
The Al-Khayat sisters, Eileen (8) and Celine (5) were happy with the birth of their new brother Mohammed a few weeks ago. They were wondering if their parents loved him more than they loved them. They stopped wondering. An Israeli pilot killed the entire family, Eileen, Celine, Mahmoud (2), baby Mohammed and their parents. 

10 The Shaban family was killed by an Israeli airstrike on their home in the Al-Nasr neighbourhood north of Gaza City on October 8, according to documentation collected by Defense for Children International – Palestine. From the left to right: Omar (11), Batoul (7), Ghada (10), and Ahmad Nazir Shawqi Shaban.

9 Yehya Sultan (11 y.o)  
Yahya Sultan (11) could cite the Holy Quran by heart. His father found the lifeless body of Yahiya stiffened in the 'fetal position’ - one hand on his ear, the other pointing his forefinger - a position known among Palestinians to provide safety during bombardments. Or as if Yahiya was reading the Quran – by heart knowing he would die. 

4 Jamil, Hoda, Kinda 
On Jamil's birthday, Huda, Kinda, and Jamil all wore the same outfit. They had no idea it would be their last birthday together. After Israel ordered an evacuation of Gaza city, the Beloushah family fled to the south. They all returned home in the north after Israel bombed the Rafah border crossing. Home again, an Israeli airstrike wiped out the entire family – Jamil, Huda and Kinda children, their father and mother.  

16 Dr Omar Firwana was a Palestinian gynaecologist and the former dean of the medical faculty at the Islamic University of Gaza. He was killed with his wife, children, and grandchildren – 14 family members in total – in their home in Tel al-Hawa, West Gaza. 

23 About these sweet children no information can be found on the internet yet. They had a life. They were loved. Now they don't exist anymore. We honour them by remembering their beautiful faces. 

23 Addtional info we found later: Hiba was a young woman who devoted her life to her family and kids. Hiba managed to memorize the Quran at a young age and was well-versed in the teachings of the Quran. She died with her two young children, Musab and Amnah.

29 Al-Kurd family
Fifteen members of the al-Kurd family were killed on 11 October, including six children under the age of 14. The oldest was 65-year-old Fatmeh Ahmad al-Kurd, and the youngest was 18-month-old Julya Fawzi al-Kurd. Six of the dead were aged 14 or under.

25 Yousef Maher Dawas was a young poet and writer. Yousef was studying to be a psychoanalyst. In January 2023, he published an essay entitled “Who will pay for the 20 years we lost?” In this essay, he recounts the destruction of his family’s orchard by an Israeli missile strike in May 2022.  He died alongside members of his family in the northern town of Beit Lahia on Saturday, October 14th. We Are Not Numbers, a collective he belonged to, announced his death on Twitter. 

54 Hadeel Abu Al-Roos was supposed to be safe down in the south of the Gaza Strip. She was a physics teacher. Together with her husband Bassel Al-Khayyat, their four children and 9 other relatives, she was killed by Israel in Rafah on October 13th.   Karim, her smaller brother, remembers: 'She raised me, walked me to school, organized my toys. Later she bought me books when I could not afford them. Hadeel was always there for me in good and bad days.'  

30 Al-Qatnani family
Siblings Basma, 16, Mohammad, 13, and Sally, 11, died with their cousins Salma, 4, and Jawan, 2, after a residential building in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip was destroyed at about 3am on 9 October.

51 Mahmud al Naouq (25) the “not just a survivor”, as he loved to call himself, worked for Euro Med Human Rights Monitor on a project ‘We Are No Numbers’. His colleagues remember him: ‘His incredible warmth and sense of humour will never be forgotten’. A few years ago, he lost his mother, who vainly submitted several requests to the Israeli authorities to grant her a permit to receive chemotherapy treatment in the West Bank. These were denied and she was left to die slowly in Gaza. Mahmud was killed with his entire family by Israeli fighter pilots. 

50 Doaa Sharaf was killed by Israeli bombs, bringing the number of Palestinian journalists killed since October 7th to 24th. Her death was mentioned on several news sites around the world. Today many of the pages reporting such news no longer exist. Most Palestinian journalists are killed while bringing you the news from Gaza. Not Doaa, she died with her small son Obaida, who was born last year. Her husband Mahmoud was left behind. 

131 Ubaidah (son of Duaa Sharaf)
In addition to Duaa (50): also Duaa's son son was killed: In loving memory of Duaa, a courageous journalist, and her beloved son, who tragically became martyrs on October 26, 2023, due to an aerial strike by the Israeli forces. Duaa's unwavering dedication to journalism and her son's innocence and promise for a brighter future will forever inspire us. May they find eternal peace, and may their sacrifice fuel our commitment to justice, peace, and the pursuit of truth.

46 Dr. Mohammad Dabbour.
Mohammed was the chief pathologist at the Islamic University of Gaza and al-Shifa Hospital. He did research on the impact of conflict and siege in Gaza on cancer management. He was advised to leave Gaza by the Israeli army. Nevertheless, he was killed with his son and father by a missile, while fleeing Gaza City on October 13th. 

41Omar  Shamallakh.
Two-month-old Omar was the youngest of the Shamallakh family. They lived in a big pink house in Sheikh Aljin in southwest Gaza. The grapes of his grandfather Abdel Nasser (56) were famous among the neighbours who often received a gift-box.  These neighbours knew they found his mother Warda because she was holding Omar. They also found his small brother Abdel Nasser (2) but they did not find grandpa, only some body parts. 

32 Dr. Medhat Saidam.
The plastic surgeon was killed along with 30 members of his family at about 1am on October 14th. After finishing work at the Shifa hospital, he and his sister joined relatives at a house where the extended family was sheltering. 

31 The 5-year-old Iyad Abdel Aziz Asker lived in the Jabalia refugee camp in Northern Gaza together with thousands of other children. Their families were displaced from their original homes and lived in a refugee camp ever since. He was killed, Quds News Network reported, while Israel bombed the camp. 

33 Abutair brothers
Firas, 14, and Ahmed, 11, died at the Khan Yunis refugee camp on 11 October. They are survived by their father and their brother Kamal.

35 Mohammed al-Gharabli
The two-year-old was killed by a missile that hit a mosque in the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City on 9 October, which also injured his five-year-old brother, Lofti. The boys’ father Muhammad al-Gharabli said he saw the bodies of dozens of neighbours in the ruins of their homes. “I can’t sleep from the horror,” he said.

21 Ibrahim and sons .
A sweet father named Ibrahim. He really did all he could for his sons. They had big dreams. Unfortunately by after being murdered by Israel they could not make their dreams reality.

36 Raafat Abofoul
The doctor was killed alongside his wife and his brother’s family in the bombing of Beit Lahia on 19 October. His nephew’s wife survived but is in a critical condition as she lost her limbs.

37 Luna Hosam AbuNada
The five-year-old girl was killed at the al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza.

38 Alma al-Majayda
The three-year-old girl was killed in a hit on Khan Yunis. She is survived by her father.

39 Hiam Musa
The sister-in-law of Associated Press photojournalist Adel Han died alongside her family. Her body was recovered on 18 October in Deir al-Balah.

40 Al-’Azayzeh family
Twenty-six members of the al-’Azayzeh family were killed on 12 October. The oldest was Sa’id Ysef al-’Azayzeh, aged 75, and the youngest was two-year-old Abd al-Aziz Abd a-Nasser al-Halisi. Twelve children under the age of 12 from the family were killed.

42 Al-Zaanin children
The al-Zaanin family lost 11 of its children when a residential building near the al-Azam mosque in Beit Hanoun was hit on 8 October, Defense for Children Palestine confirmed. Their names were: Amr, 4, Khaled, 7, Obaida, 9, Hassan, 12, Momen 12, Noor, 9, Zaina, 7, Mays, 5, Hala, 1, Salma, 5, Balsam, 3.

43 Muhammad al-Khayyat
Two-month-old Muhammad died in hospital, despite doctors’ efforts, as a result of missiles in Rafah, Gaza on 13 October.

55 Lana Sharif
In Gaza live many polite girls like Lana. But she was special for her family. She was their princess. Everyone in the neighbourhood loved her. Not long ago she did a photo shoot in one of the many small studios you can find in Gaza. Now she is looking at you, and you are looking at her. She would have never imagined that. Lana was killed in one of the many Israeli bombings of Gaza.

56 Lubna al-Ajrami (31) and her daughter Sham (7)
Lubna studied marketing and accounting. Her father, Ayed, was Mukhtar (a community chief) and a co-founder of a construction company. Hadeel, her daughter Sham, and 12 family members including her father, her sister, and her niece were killed by the Israeli bombing on Gaza on Saturday 14 October.

44 Awni al-Dous brothers
Four brothers – Ibtisam, 17, Rawand, 15, Ahmad, 10, and Zaid, 3 – were killed alongside their four-year-old cousin, Rakan, after several missiles hit a residential building in the al-Zaytoun neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, at about 8.20pm on 7 October, according to Defense for Children Palestine.

53 Julia.
In 1948 the family of Julia Abu Hussein (2) were driven out of the village Beit Daras. Since then they lived with the other villagers in the Khan Yunis refugee camp.  On November 26th, Julia was eagerly waiting for the arrival of her aunt Rasha, to take her to buy sweets. When the first bombs fell, Julia’s mother, Rawan, grabbed her daughter and ran into the kitchen. But a piece of shrapnel killed Julia in her mother’s arms. 

45 Shabat family
At about 3am on 8 October the Shabat family home in Beit Hanoun was destroyed, killing 14 members of the family including seven children. The children’s names were: Hassan, 9, Bayan, 13, Mohammad, 3, Ghaith, 3, and Abdulkhaleq, 5. Two children in neighbouring buildings were also killed: 11-year-old Mohammad Khater Maher al-Kafarneh and 16-year-old Rula Nael Zakaria Naseer.

47 Our sweet just born baby that fled with her mother. Unfortunately the girl was killed by Israel, togehter with her aunt.

52 Majd Arandas.
Majd Arandas (was a self-taught photographer who loved to take pictures at the Mediterranean Sea. The videos and voice messages he shared the past few weeks were littered with the background sound of warplanes in the sky. His last photos and stories were of people killed, bombs, white phosphorus, destruction - I so wish his last memories of life were not of witnessing such violence. One wishes his last memories of life were not of witnessing such violence.

60 Allam M Alborsh
Dr Moueen – the initiator of this Mobile Funeral lost 30 family members after a month of destruction. This is Allam M Alborsh. He wants to commemorate him through this website.

62 Mosa Enan
On Monday November 13 Dr Moueen, the initator of the Mobile Funeral wrote in despair: ‘A new martyr, my nephew is a martyr and every day is a martyr.’ This is a picture of Dr Moueen (left) and Mosa.

59 This is Enan M Alborsh. Dr Moueen writes: ‘He really was a good man. I was so close to him.’

And this is Yakoob. A beautiful picture of a young photographer, with big dreams. This picture shows Yakoob with the symbol of the Palestinians in the background: olive trees. Now Yakoob is gone and the orchyard is destroyed.

76 Omar Ahmad Bassam and family
Omar Ahmad and Bassam’s whole family line was wiped out in an instance as they were brutally killed by an Israeli missile. They were killed alongside their parents, one month old sister and their father’s entire family. From the youngest grandchild to their grandparents, the whole family has been martyred. The Abu Hosera family are not numbers; they will not be forgotten. May they rest in Paradise.

75 Ayham (25) and Aysar (23)
Two weeks apart in the West Bank town of Jenin, two brothers, Ayham and Aysar Alamer were tragically killed by Israeli forces. Hailing from the Jenin refugee camp, Ayham, aged 25, had been imprisoned at the young age of 18. After enduring seven years behind bars, he was eventually released, only to meet a fatal fate some months later. Aysar, aged 23, had recently tied the knot, celebrating his marriage. However, his joy was short-lived, as he was also killed by Israeli forces, a mere two weeks after the death of his brother.

74 Mohammed Akram Nassar
Mohammed was said to be extremely social and liked by all. His one dream was to become a father, as his own was martyred when he was 4. Unfortunately, his blood line ended with him, as he was tragically killed by Israeli missiles. May he be reunited with his father in Jannah.

Afnan Zaki Al-Najjar, her children Sanad (3) and Aya (4), and their family members died in Khan Younis. Afnan was a devoted mother, creating a loving environment. Sanad's joyful energy and Aya's gentle nature touched many hearts. Though their time was short, their impact will forever be cherished. May their souls rest in peace.

72 Sameera Mahdi and 40 family members
Sameera, a skilled dentist who recently got engaged, was killed along with 40 family members when their building was bombed by Israeli forces. Despite their desperate pleas for help, no one could reach them due to the blocked path.

71 Rahaf (5) and Mohammed Alsaqqa.
The Israelis killed 5-year-old beautiful Rahaf Alsaqqa and her father Mohammed Alsaqqa on November 12th. A tank targeted them while they were trying to escape south through “the safe corridor”. This is Rahaf showing her enormous cotton candy with a similar enormous smile in better times.

71 This is Rahaf's father who was killed with her on while attacked on their flight.

70 Hamam Allouh and family
The sole nephrology specialist in Gaza, Dr Hamam Allouh, was killed along with his family members following an Israeli airstrike on their house. He held 1st place in the Arab medical board and preferred to return to Gaza rather than remain abroad, despite being offered many opportunities.

69 Basel Mahdi and family
Basel Mahdi, a well-known obstetrician, and gynaecologist in Gaza was the proud owner and operator of a private clinic. He, along with his children and brother, was killed by an Israeli airstrike while seeking shelter in the clinic.

68 Asma Hassan Odeh
Asma was said to have loved life and had many friends who adored her. Her wedding was set for early November, but instead she was tragically killed in an Israeli air strike along with her entire family. May she have the wedding of her dreams in Paradise.

67 Ibrahim Qasiya
Ibrahim was the captain of the Palestinian national volleyball team. He was extremely talented and had his whole life ahead of him. Ibrahim was tragically killed by Israeli missiles targeting Jabaliya camp. People often wonder why Palestinians are absent at international sporting events, this is why: athletes along with doctors, journalists and teachers die from Israeli attacks.

66 Musab Saleh and Linda
Musab was a loving father and husband who adored his wife. He had modest dreams for his family. A couple of weeks before his death, he shared on Facebook his aspiration to, someday, buy his wife an iPhone. Sadly, Musab and Linda were killed by Israeli airstrike, Julia survived by herself, orphaned at a young age.

65 Issa Al-Quadi (66)
Taxi driver Issa Al-Quadi was killed by the occupation with a bullet to the head, during the storming of the West Bank city of Hebron on November 13th.

64 Abdulhamid Alfayoumi
Abdulhamid Alfayoumi, the founder of Sanabel Media Company, was a wonderful entrepreneur, loving husband, and caring dad. He was killed with his entire family by an Israeli airstrike on November 13th. May they all rest in eternal peace.

80 Mahmoud Zaquot
Mahmoud loved playing soccer and dreamed of becoming a player when he grew up. Sadly, his dreams were shattered when he, along with 40 members of his family, was killed.

79 Yusuf Sha'ban
Yusuf Sha'ban was an architect in Germany. He travelled to Gaza last month to reunite with his wife and three children after obtaining the necessary paperwork for them to live in Germany with him. Unfortunately, Yusuf, his wife, and son were tragically killed by Israel, leaving behind two young daughters.

78 Ahmed Raed Ahmed
Ahmed, a young and ambitious man, dreamed of going to college and becoming a police officer. He loved Gaza and wanted to live there, serving his community. Sadly, the occupation took his life and shattered his dreams.

77 The Masri Family
Mohammed was an Arabic teacher who was loved by all his students. He was married to Salam, a journalist. She was described as calm and humble. Together, they had three children Hadi, Ali, Sham. They were all killed in their home by the hands of Israel except Ali, who is injured and yet to be informed of his family’s deaths. May Allah make it easy on him.

81 Asem
This is Asam, a newphew of Dr Moueen who became a martyr on November 21, 2023.

83 Abdul Rahman Shahab
The martyr and freed prisoner Abdul Rahman Shahab. He was a prisoner among the released prisoners in 2011 after 23 years of imprisonment by the Israeli occupation. The martyr was known for his kindness and ease in dealing with his family and people. Abdul Rahman was married and had two daughters, Luti and Rita, and a son named Bilal. The freed prisoner Abdul Rahman was martyred in an Israeli bombardment on his house, along with his family, his mother, two of his sisters, and their sons and daughters, on 12/10/2023.

84 Lina Al Alami (27 years old), a mother of two, tragically killed on November 10th by an Israeli bombardment while trying to escape southward with her family. Subsequently, her children, Mohamad and Majed, along with other family members, have been confined to their house without any access to food or water. Their future and well-being are uncertain and remain unknown.

85 Qassem Abo Shammala
My best best funniest friend and brother from another mother was murdered in the morning (he got a baby few months ago ) 💔💔💔 He was very happy when he got his first child (her name is Rahaf). They aren’t numbers 😣💔 Qassem was killed on November 22, 2023.

86 Hamza Abyan
Hamza was 19 years old. He was studying translation at the university. Orphaned by his father, life was challenging for him, but despite that, he was perseverant, brave, and ambitious, dreaming of many things. He excelled in writing poetry and novels, dreaming that one day his first book would be published, making him famous. There was an Israeli bombing in front of his house in Gaza. Later, he and his family fled and went to the southern Gaza Strip, hoping to find a safe place. However, Israeli aircraft bombed the house where he was staying in the south, and he and his family became martyrs on 26/10/2023.

87 Nada Dahshan
Nada, a pharmacist who graduated just four months ago from the pharmacy specialization on 24/6/2023. We know a lot about her, and I can't believe I'm documenting this for the martyr Nada, our friend whom we knew for her beautiful soul and her constant commitment to her wide smile. We knew Nada for her constant openness to her friends who always resorted to her, and how she listened to what they said and complained about the hardships of life. She surly was the most beautiful heart to her friends. Nada was not just a pharmacy student who has just graduated, but she also wanted to continue her studies. She was trying recently to find a scholarship to travel and continue her academic journey. Nada was the diligent student dreaming of traveling, but today she traveled to a better and farther place than this planet, with her family, in an Israeli bombing that targeted their location in Gaza today on 21/11/2023.

88 Adam Husam Muslim
In the fifth grade, he was very intelligent, one of the top students, loved by everyone, and extremely active. He memorized the Quran, loved basketball, and trained with the youth of the Maghazi camp basketball club. He dreamed of becoming a global basketball player like Michael Jordan. However, the Israeli warplanes decided to shatter his dream on 11/11/2023 in an early morning airstrike on his relatives' house in the Nuseirat camp.

89 Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Qara
The martyr journalist Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Qara graduated with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Al-Aqsa University in Gaza, and then obtained a master's degree in Journalism from the Islamic University. He worked as an academic lecturer at Al-Aqsa University and later as a journalist and photographer. Beloved by everyone and always smiling, he had a dream of becoming a famous journalist and conveying Palestine's voice to the world. His dream ended, and he was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on his home on November 10, 2023.

90 Mustafa Al-Sawaf
Writer and political analyst Mustafa Al-Sawaf was born in the city of Gaza on August 20, 1955. He obtained a bachelor's degree in media from Cairo University in Egypt in 1979. One of the most famous and oldest journalists in the Gaza Strip, he worked as a correspondent and editor for various Palestinian, Arab, and international media outlets, notably as a correspondent for the BBC network. He was also the former bureau chief of Al-Nahar Al-Maqdisiya newspaper in the nineties and the founder and former editor-in-chief of the first daily newspaper published from the Gaza Strip. He said, "I am close to people, their concerns, and their problems. If I praise the resistance, it's because it deserves praise, and if I criticize another side, it's because that's the reality." He and his family were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on their home on November 18, 2023.

91 Sari Mansour
Sari Mansour was one of the most famous journalists in Gaza, he worked as the director of the Quds News Agency and also worked for Al-Quds Channel. After the communication blackout and internet disruption, his wife sent him a handwritten message pleading: "I've been waiting for you along with the children since morning, and you didn't come. We've been very sad. I kept saying, 'He'll come now,' but you didn't. May God forgive you. Come tomorrow, have lunch with us." Sari and his colleague Husamah were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the Bureij camp on November 18, 2023.

92 Hassouna Salim
Hassouna Salim is a journalist from the Gaza Strip. He never stopped covering events since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7. He received numerous threats from the Israeli army and shared on TikTok, saying, “We are being threatened not to publish the truth through calls and text messages. Our message is that we will remain in the field, persistent.” His wedding was scheduled a month later, in December 2023. He dreamt of having a small, happy family and starting a new life with them. However, Israel carried out its threat, and he was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the Bureij camp on November 18, 2023.

93 Duaa Khamis Younis
Dr. Duaa Khamis Younis, was the firstborn to her parents. She spent her childhood in the UAE, loving life and being very kind to everyone. She completed her medical studies, married Engineer Ahmed Ashour, moved to Portugal, and had children: Janan, Ismail, and Noor. She was deeply attached to her children. She came to Gaza before the war to treat her son Ismail, unaware it would be her last visit, as death awaited them there. Israeli warplanes bombed the house they sought refuge in Gaza City, surviving but moving to what they believed was a safer place in southern Gaza, as stated by the occupying army. Sadly, Duaa, along with her children Janan and Ismail, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the house they sought shelter in Khan Younis on November 15, 2023, while her daughter Noor survived.

94 Alaa Subh Al-Hour
Alaa Subh Al-Hour, who is 30 years old, works as a counselor at a government school. He is married and has two children: Shaima, who is four years old, and Mohannad, who is two years old. Alaa played a significant supporting role for his mother and sisters after his father's death. Recently, after rebuilding his house that was completely destroyed during the 2014 war, he hoped to provide warmth for his small family. However, the shells fired by the occupation destroyed this hope and deprived him and his family of feeling safe in their home. Alaa's wife, originally the daughter of a martyr, lost her father when she was a child. Now, she bears the responsibility of caring for their children who share in the same suffering of their father's absence after his martyrdom. Alaa was killed in an Israeli shelling on his home in November 2023.

95 Bilal Fuad Al-Farra
Bilal Fuad Al-Farra, a pharmacist from Khan Yunis, held the position of CEO at Medina International Pharmaceuticals. He also managed several pharmacies, including Medina Pharmacy, Bilal Pharmacy, and a branch of Medina Pharmacy in Nusairat. Bilal was a courteous, polite, and diligent individual, adept at communicating eloquently and kindly with others. Bilal was killed in an Israeli shelling in October 2023.

96 Mohammed Awad
Mohammed Awad, aged 27, graduated in 2019 from the Islamic University with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, excelling and earning honors. Post-graduation, he worked as an assistant lecturer at the Engineering College due to his academic excellence. Unfortunately, Mohammed was killed in an Israeli shelling in western Khan Yunis. His young son, who is a year and a half old, will now grow up without his father. With this loss, our children lose a fundamental figure in life, and the role of a father turned into a martyr.

97 Bilal Nasser Labad
Bilal Nasser Labad is a dentist who graduated this year, he was an exemplary student, well-mannered, and beloved by everyone. Bilal was ambitious and aimed to build a good future for himself. He dreamed of having his own clinic to treat people, owning a beautiful home, and building a small family filled with love. Bilal was martyred in an Israeli bombardment on 07/10/2023.

98 Ahmed Fatima
Journalist Ahmed Fatima worked as a correspondent for the Cairo News Channel. He used to embrace children at Al-Shifa Hospital to reassure them and try to ease their fear due to the Israeli bombardment. He was kind-hearted and gentle, loved by all his colleagues. In every gathering of friends, he was present, and when absent, everyone asked about him. Ahmed was martyred in an Israeli bombardment while covering the news at the entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital on 14/11/2023.

99 Israa Abdullah Al-Ashqar
Israa was an intensivist, she dreamed of traveling and visiting several countries, loved by all her friends. She helped everyone and took care of children. Her smile never left her face. She worked at the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza. Upon returning to see her family, Israeli warplanes bombed her house, and she was martyred along with 17 members of her family. She was martyred on 30/10/2023.

100 Abed Al Rahman is the owner of the best pizza place in Gaza: Italiano. He opened the restaurant after spending years trying to find a job in his domain,as he holds an engineering degree from Spain. Israel murdered him and his family while they were sheltering at the restaurant.

Nasri was born and raised in Palestine. He was a well-respected and loved man in Gaza. He instilled the love of the land in all his children and grandchildren. He was killed, along with 23 members of his family, when an Israeli airstrike hit their house in the town of Deir Al Balah.

107 Abdallah Baghdadi
Abdallah was a dental student and was almost done with his studies, but now he can never become the dentist he aspired to be. Abdullah evacuated to the south. He was killed in Rafah. They killed him in the area Israel told them to evacuate to.

106 Maysa (15) and Omar (5) Khadra
Omar (5) had just finished kindergarten and was excited to start first grade. Maysa (15) had spent the summer with her cousins, exploring the beauty of Gaza and enjoying her time off school. That would be the last summer Maysa would ever live, and kindergarten would be the last class Omar would finish.

105 Mohammed Al-Mokayed
The 15-year-old boy was passionate about soccer and dreamt of becoming a programmer one day. That dream was shattered on October 20th, 2023, when he was killed during an Israeli airstrike.

104 Dana Sakka
Dana Sakka, she just got married and was newly pregnant. A day before she was killed, she wrote: "I have this constant feeling that I'm going to die young”. Dana and her unborn baby were both killed by an Israeli airstrike.

103 Hatem Awad
Paramedic Hatem Awad is credited with teaching first aid courses at Al-Azhar College of Medicine. Hatem lived his life serving his community and was killed while on active service.

102 Roshdi Sarraj
Roshdi Sarraj was the co-founder of Ain Media, which documented the stories of people in Gaza. As an important local voice, he was known by many foreign journalists as the "eye of Gaza." Apart from video storytelling, Sarraj loved swimming and horse-riding.

111 Ilham Farah
A retired teacher and a musician, a Christian figure in Gaza's culture, she loved Gaza and played songs of love for it. On November 12, 2023, she was shot in the foot by Israeli gunfire in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza. She was left bleeding to death on the road due to the blockade, Israeli tanks, and the prevention of the Red Cross or any medical assistance from reaching her. One of her students, Noor, wrote: "The music classes she supervised at Al-Qahira School were some of the most beautiful sessions. We loved the moments of her playing and singing together."

130 Alkarnaz Family

129 Yumna Al Reifi (6 months)
Yumna had just turned 6 months when she was killed by an Israeli airstrike on October 17th. Her mother, Maram, recalls carefully selecting her name, and how worried she felt while pregnant with her. She says it all went away once she was able to carry her for the first time after birth. Yumna was taken from her too early, but Maram did not have to mourn her daughter for too long as she was killed TODAY by an Israeli airstrike. Just one week after her daughter Yumna was martyred. 128 Qudaih Family
This picture of the Qudaih siblings was last Eid. Their mom matched her four kids and was excited to celebrate Eid in their humble home. There will be no more Eids to celebrate. All four siblings were killed along with their mom and died while sleeping.

127 Dr Tawfeeq Alfarra
After graduating from high school, Tawfeek pursued his dream of studying dentistry in Egypt. Completing his studies there, he returned to Gaza with a passion to give back to his community. Tawfeek opened a dental clinic, dedicating himself to serving his fellow community members with pride .

126. Al-Qernawi Family
The residence of the Al-Qrenawi family is in the Bureij refugee camp, which is in the central of Gaza Strip. The refugee camp was struck by an Israeli airstrike on November 22, 2023, just one day prior to the temporary ceasefire. Tragically, the airstrike resulted in the loss of Abu Osama Al-Qarinawi, his two sons, and three grandchildren, Ahmed Tawfiq Al-Qarinawi, and Bilal Tawfiq Al-Qarinawi.

125 Hozyfa Alnajjar
Hozayfa, a vibrant and hopeful young man, was taken from us far too soon. His engagement brought joy to his life, but his untimely passing by Israeli forces left his fiancée and family heartbroken.

123. Mohammed Mansour
After being injured multiple times by the Israeli aggressions and surviving, Mohammed was killed in an Israeli Airstrike in Gaza. On 24th October he wrote on Facebook “Praise to Allah, I am among the wounded for the third time, and not the Martyred”. The next day, he became a martyr.

122 Al-Farra Family
Issam Tawfik Al-Farra, his wife Semar, and three daughters Rosol, Adyan and Tuka were all killed by an Israeli airstrike October 25th, 2023.

121 Basem Al-Kafarna (5)
His cousin wrote: “Let the world know that we buried the body of my cousin Basem without a head. His head is still under the rubble.”

120. Rawand Fayez Al Hasani
Rawand was a talented videographer in Gaza. She had many aspirations, hopes and dreams. Unfortunately, she was killed along with her husband, children and siblings while fleeing to South Gaza where it was supposedly safe. May they be granted paradise.

118 Salma Mukhaimer (31)
Salma was an independent journalist visiting her family in Rafah when her family’s home was hit by an Israeli missile. She was killed alongside her parents and newborn son Ali. She is the 27th journalist to be killed by Israel during their war on Gaza.

117 Bilal Zaher Ahmed
Bilal Zaher Ahmed was one of the most devoted followers of the Quran. He was able to memorize the Quran from a young age. His dedication to teaching the Quran played a significant role in reviving the teachings of the Quran in his community. Bilal was killed along side with his mom sister and niece.

116. Reem Nabhan
The video of reem and her father went viral on social media, where the father says his last goodbye with a deep hug. This is Reem a beautiful child full of life before she was killed along with her siblings on 22 November 2023.

Having spent her entire life in Gaza, Amal nurtured dreams of exploring the world and experiencing different cultures, but she never got to live that dream . Amal played the role of a nurturing mother not only to her own children but also within her household. She also possessed a remarkable talent for creating delectable sweets, which brought joy to those around her. Regrettably, Amal's aspirations and her remarkable culinary skills were cut short when she, along with 20 other members of her family, fell victim to an Israeli airstrike. The loss of Amal, a loving and dedicated individual, is profoundly felt not only by her immediate family but also by the community she was an integral part of.

124. Siwar Majed Omar Almadhoun
Siwar, the star basketball player was killed by Israel this morning on November, 23 hours before the temporary truce in Gaza. She was an outgoing and smart Palestinian girl and loved to play basketball. She was only 14 years old. Her father was very supportive of his little girl.

136 Mohammed Al-Abadallah
Mohammed, a vibrant young man, brimming with life, became engaged on July 26, 203. However, his joy was tragically cut short when he lost his life three months later, due to the actions of the Israeli occupation. As a result, Mohammed's dreams of marriage remain unfulfilled. Al Maamari, a Lebanese cameraperson for Al-Mayadeen TV channel, was killed by an Israeli strike in the Tayr Harfa area in southern Lebanon, close to the border with Israel, along with his colleague Farah Omar, according to Al-Mayadeen, Al-Jazeera, and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes.

Farah Omar is a Lebanese reporter for Al-Mayadeen TV channel. She was killed by an Israeli strike in the Tayr Harfa area in southern Lebanon, close to the border with the occupied territories, according to Al-Mayadeen, Al-Jazeera, and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes. She was reporting on escalating hostilities across the Lebanese- Israeli border and gave a live update an hour before her death.

145 Ayat Khadoura
Khadoura, a Palestinian freelance journalist and podcast presenter, was killed along with an unknown number of family members in an Israeli airstrike on her home in Beit Lahya in northern Gaza, according to the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, the news website Arabi 21, and London-based Al-Ghad TV. Khadoura shared videos on social media about the situation in Gaza, including a November 6 video, which she called “my last message to the world” where she said, “We had big dreams but our dream now is to be killed in one piece, so they know who we are.”

146 Alaa Al Hassanat
Al Hassanat, a Palestinian journalist and presenter at AlMajedat Media Network, was killed, along with multiple members of her family, in an Israeli airstrike that hit her house in the Gaza Strip, according to the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, Quds News Network, and the Ramallah-based Palestinian news network SHFA. In 2015, Al-Hassanat wrote an article about the 2014 war on Gaza, in which she detailed what she endured, adding that “our role as journalists is now more important than ever.”

147 Belal Jadallah
Known locally as “the godfather of Palestinian journalists”, Jadallah was the chairman of the Gaza Press House - an organisation dedicated to training the region's future journalists. He was killed in his car in Gaza in an Israeli airstrike, according to the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate. Most journalists in the besieged Gaza knew Jadallah, and he had worked with many of them closely. His mentorship programmes helped many local journalists get started in their careers.

148 Abed Al-Halim Awad
A Palestinian media worker and driver for Al-Aqsa TV. Awad was killed in a strike on his home in the Gaza Strip, according to the London-based Al-Ghad TV, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes.

149 Amro Abu Hayah
A Palestinian media worker in the broadcast department of Al-Aqsa TV channel. Abu Hayah was killed in a strike in Gaza, according to the Jordan-based Roya News and the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.

Mosab Ashour, a Palestinian photographer, was killed during an attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip but his death was not reported until November 18, soon after his body was discovered, according to the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.

Abu Hassira, a journalist for the Palestinian Wafa news agency, was killed in a strike on his home in Gaza along with 42 family members, according to the agency.

153 Muhammad al-Jaja
Al Jaja was a media worker and the organizational development consultant at Press House-Palestine, which owns Sawa news agency in Gaza and promotes press freedom and independent media. He was killed in a strike on his home along with his wife and two daughters in the Al-Naser neighborhood in northern Gaza, according to the London-based news website The New Arab, the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, and the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.

137 Fariza Al-Sharif
Fariza Al-Sharif was an ambitious software engineer and completed her master's degree in business administration and was always eager to improve herself. Her brother Fadi’s death two years ago was incredibly tough for her. She was deeply attached to her siblings and their children, being the affectionate aunt and sister. On 13 October 2023, Fariza along with her broters’ children Ibraheem, Huda and Fadi were killed in an airstrike on Gaza. “She was someone I used to discuss business ideas with, someone I could rely on for advice based on her knowledge and experience. Even with her busy schedule of work or studies, she never hesitated to help.” “She worked hard on herself, despite the challenging conditions she faced and she overcame it all”. 138 Mohammed Sami
Mohammed Sami, or as we called him “Abu El Sami” or simply Sami, was an ambitious dreamer living under siege. He saw life from a different perspective and had a message to deliver through his life. He was the foundation of the “Banafsaj” team. I can’t Image how we will continue our work without him” On 17 October 2023, Mohammed Sami, along with many children he had been dancing and singing with, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza. “But you left us too soon, my dear. Although your body is not here, your spirit and memory linger in our hearts. Now, you and the children are watching us from above. How does Gaza look from above?” By his friend Mohanad Al-Hourani “He was my biggest supporter in my artistic journey, always embracing my strange ideas. His love for children was evident and his last moments were spent bringing joy to them at Al-Ahli Arab hospital. He often told me “Mohanad, why not? What’s holding you back?” We had so many plans and shows to do together.”

139 Shahada Al-Buhbahan
The poet and writer Professor Shahada Al-Buhbahan. He was an example of manners and literature, excelling in his studies. He was loved by his family, relatives and neighbours in Al-Bureij refugee camp. He completed his university education in Cairo, worked as a teacher in Libya for several years, then returned to Gaza to continue teaching and pursue higher studies. He authored several poetry collections celebrated by students in Gaza schools. 140 Basel Mahdi
Dr. Basel Mahdi was a well-known and caring doctor in Gaza. He specialized in obstetrics and gynecology in Gaza. “He always had a friendly smile and treated every patient with kindness. He was the first to see our children before they were born”. “I was his patient when I was pregnant with my daughter Mayar. I searched all over Gaza but no doctor was willing to deliver my baby due to potential risks for both me and the baby. Dr. Basel Hahdi was the one who finally agreed to help me during that challenging time”. “I was afraid and terrified, but Dr. Basel reassured me and allowed my family to be with me. He has received the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Young Arab Scientists and made significant contributions to scientific studies and research annually published in prestigious scientific journals. Marwan Tarazi and several family members were killed when Israel attacked the Orthodox Church of Porphyrius in Gaza. Abdul Karim Hashash, born in Beersheba in 1947 was moved to Gaza after the Nakba in 1948. He was a writer, teacher and Palestinian heritage advocate and best known for his writings on Palestinian folk heritage and his research on Bedouin heritage, customs, and Arab proverbs. He was killed to together with many of his family in Rafah.

156 Mohammed Yasser Hasaneen
Mohammed Yasser Hasaneen, 28 years old, was a remarkable story of determination. He founded an institute for learning to make various supplies in Gaza. The institute expanded to include courses in food and plastic manufacturing. He was set to get engaged in December 2023. However, on November 9th, Mohammed and his family were killed in an Israeli airstrike on their home.

157 Mohammed Ajjour
Mohammed Ajjour was a mathematical genius and a skilled programmer. He was married and had a child who was less than two years old and deeply attached to his father. He was displaced to Rafah, in the southern Gaza strip, but on October 19, Mohammed, along with his brothers-in-law, was killed in an Israeli airstrike, and his wife and son were injured.

165 Dr Duaa Shamoot
Dr Duaa Shamout was a wonderful mother, wife, and doctor. She completed her studies in Egypt and returned to Gaza to serve her community. She tirelessly worked in the hospitals since the war on Gaza began, demonstrating her deep dedication and love for her job and the people she cared for. Tragically, Duaa and her one-year-old daughter were killed while taking a moment to rest after her shift at the hospital.

Alaa had a Master's degree in Mental and Community Health, he worked as a psychologist at schools and in community organizations. He left behind a baby boy that turned just two years old and a wife who he adored.

167 Ahmad Abu Sama
An Israeli sniper murdered journalist Mohammed Abu Samra in north Gaza on December 10, raising the death toll among journalists to 82. He was killed by a sniper which means it was a targeted kill. Two days ago his twin brother, Ahmad Abu Sama, was murdered was also murdered. Here is a memory on Mohamed: Just heartbreaking.. 168. Dr Maisara Alrayyes
Dr Alrayyes was a young medical doctor and published academic who was passionate about improving healthcare for women and children in low-income and war-affected regions. In 2019, Dr Alrayyes won a highly prestigious Chevening Scholarship to Kings College, London where he completed an MSc in Women and Children’s Health. Dr Alrayyes and his family died under the rubble of their home where they had been trapped for 30hours following an Israeli airstrike. #health

Yara was only 8 years old when she was killed along with five members of her family, following a direct airstrike at their neighbour's house, where five people were also killed. Yara was a typical 8year old, and loved to play, colour and make friends. #child

170. Lubna Mahmoud Alian
Lubna was only 15 years old when she was killed along with 50 members of her family. Lubna was a talented and outstanding violin student at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Gaza. Ali Abdullah Hassan Nasman was a political activist, comedian, and Palestinian blogger. He continued to publish daily videos during bombing in Gaza, to show his followers and the world what was really happening on the ground and the resilience of thee people of Gaza despite the destruction, stressing, “The people of the Gaza Strip have their heads held high.” Ali Nasman also an actor who appeared in various roles on Palestinian TV. 188. Said Al-Dahshan
Dr Said Talal Al-Dahshan was a respected expert in international law and wrote ‘How to sue Israel?: The International Prosecution of Israel and Its Leaders for Their Crimes Against the Palestinians,which charts the judicial path, or road map, of what is required to be done on the Palestinian, Arab, Islamic and international levels; to sue “Israel” and its leaders. Dr Al-Dahshan was visiting family in Gaza when an Israeli airstrike struck his home and killed everyone inside. He was on his way to Cairo, where he primarily lives. (#culture)

Dr. Jihad Suleiman Al-Masri was a well-respected historian and Director of Al-Quds Open University in Khan Yunis. At 60 years old, he dies from injuries caused by Israeli shelling on his way to join his wife and daughter. 201 Omar Abu Shaweesh
Omar Faris Abu Shaweesh was a poet and award-winning song writer but at 36 years old, he was killed during Israeli shelling of the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza. Abu Shaweesh was a prominent community activitist and a member of the General Union for Palestinian Writers and the People's Committee for Refugees. He was also a co-founder of the “Palestine Youth Cultural Network”. Abu Shaweesh wrote a number of patriotic and humanitarian songs, for which he won several local and international awards, including “Best National Song of the Year 2007” award at the International Festival of National Song and Heritage in Jordan.

202. Halima Al-Kahlout
The artist Halima Abdul Karim Al-Kahlout (29 years old) was known among her friends as the ‘Fruit of the Workshops’ due to her perpetual playfulness and spontaneity. Halim aused her art to express the political and social issues in the Gaza Strip and shed light on rights violations, including the right to life and treatment. Her last exhibition, titled ‘Fragments of the City,’ took place last summer, where she showcased her art. #culture

203. Mohammed Sami Qaryeqa
Mohammed Sami Qaryeqa (24 years old) was an artist and painter who attempted to integrate technology with art and illustrated scenes from daily life. His last post on social media featured a famous video of children playing in the garden of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza just one day before it was bombed by the Israeli occupation, resulting in a horrific massacre with 500 martyrs and dozens of wounded. Up until the last moments, he tried to alleviate the anxiety and psychological stress experienced by children and patients in the hospital through his art. #culture

204. Nesma Abu Sha’ira
The visual artist Nesma Abu Sha’ira was 36 years old when she was killed on October 28th. She was a lecturer and head of the Fine Arts Department at Al-Aqsa University. One of her most famous paintings depicted the olive tree, whose roots reach worldwide. She was especially proud of her female students, saying she saw “a bright future in them.” #culture

205. Samar and Nahida (mother and daughter)
Christian women were shot dead by an Israeli sniper in a Holy Family Catholic church in Gaza City, where Christian families have been sheltering since the Israel-Hamas war broke out. The church patriarchate highlighted that no warning was given before the shooting started A mother, Nahida, was shot in her stomach when she was going to the bathroom. Her daughter was shot as she tried to carry the other to safety. When their brothers and cousins started running towards them, they were also targeted by the Israeli sniper. Seven more people were wounded by gunfire as they tried to protect others. Contrary to the Israeli official statement and mainstream media narrative, the two women weren’t killed accidentally.

206 Samer Abudaqa
He was a journalist with Al Jazeera. Colleagues remember Abudaqa as an exemplary journalist and a caring man, a father of four who was beloved by those who worked alongside him. One of his sons, who is living in Belgium, sang on social media for his father because he misses him – on the day he died. In a bombing in Khan Younis, Israeli drones fired missiles at a school where civilians sought refuge, resulting in indiscriminate casualties. Following Samer’s injury, he was left to bleed to death for over 5 hours, as Israeli forces prevented ambulances and rescue workers from reaching him. #journalist

207. Nagham Abu Samra
As the conflict entered its 100th day, Naghram Abu Samra died from critical injuries following a missile strike in Gaza a month earlier. The 24year old had lost her leg and suffered from complications and remained in a coma following the attack that killed her sister. Naghram was a trailblazer in the sport that she loved – karate - becoming Palestine’s first female karate champion. She also established her first club to teach girls karate in the Gaza Strip in 2021 and was hugely supported by her father and family members to achieve her goals in this male-dominated sport. #sport

208. Iman Abu Saeed
Iman Khalid Abu Saeed, her husband Eyad and her children Joudi and Ziyad were killed together. Iman was a community activist, working particularly with children. One of her recent projects involved collecting seashells from the beach, cleaning them, and creating decorative items for homes. She also documented the days of the blockade in Gaza through oral history at the Tamer Institute for Community Education. #family #culture

194. Sheikh Yousef Salama
Sheikh Salama was martyred along with his wife on Sunday, while their daughter was injured in an Israeli attack on their home in al-Maghazi refugee camp in Gaza City. Born in 1964 in Al Maghazi refugee camp, Sheikh Salama’s roots trace back to Beit Tima, a Palestinian town from which his family was expelled during the Nakba in 1948. He was an accomplished academic, holding a doctorate in social solidarity in the Islamic endowment and its impact in Palestine, along with a master’s degree in the same field. Sheikh Salama’s illustrious career included serving as the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs and the Secretary of the Academic Council at Al Azhar Institute in Gaza. He was also a respected lecturer at the Al Azhar University of Gaza.

214 Nour al-Din Hajjaj
The poet and writer Nour al-Din Hajjaj actively participated in the “Cultural Passion” initiative, the Cordoba Association, and the Days of Theatre Foundation. His final words before he was killed by an Israeli airstrike in Al-Shujaiyya (December 2nd 2023) were: My name is Nour al-Din Hajjaj, I am a Palestinian writer, I am twenty-seven years old and I have many dreams. I am not a number and I do not consent to my death being passing news. Say, too, that I love life, happiness, freedom, children’s laughter, the sea, coffee, writing, Fairouz, everything that is joyful – though these things will disappear in the space of a moment. One of my dreams is for my books and my writings to travel the world, for my pen to have wings so that no unstamped passport or visa rejection can hold it back.
