The list of victims as of October 7, currently till October 26. 2023

Remark: while we expected more people killed, we had never even imagined the numbers rising with thousants and thousants.

The ministery did not issue an updated list for several reasons:

• The statistics building was bombed by Israel, wiping the system with the death registry. In a later stage a backup will have to be recovered but there is no way to do this at the moment.
• So deaths are registered manually at the moment. 
• Imagine the situation where hospitals are bombed and people are brought in with many togeher and death bodies are taken out also with many together. Sometimes total families are erased from the registry, so it is hard to find people for identification. Pictures are taken of the victims before burrying them in mass graves, hoping that in a later stage identification can take place.
• Thousants are still under the rubble – not officially registered as death but as ‘missing’. 

So this list is not updated at the moment. In the mean time we do gather names, pictures, stories and dreams of other victims in the ‘they had dreams section’.
