34 Salam Mema 
  Salam Mema, a freelance journalist, was recovered from rubble three days after her home in the Jabaliya camp in northern Gaza was hit on October 10th. Mema was head of the female journalists committee at the Palestinian Media Assembly, an organisation committed to advancing media work for Palestinian journalists. 

50 Doaa Sharaf was killed by Israeli bombs, bringing the number of Palestinian journalists killed since October 7th to 24th. Her death was mentioned on several news sites around the world. Today many of the pages reporting such news no longer exist. Most Palestinian journalists are killed while bringing you the news from Gaza. Not Doaa, she died with her small son Obaida, who was born last year. Her husband Mahmoud was left behind. 

131 Ubaidah (son of Duaa Sharaf)
In addition to Duaa (50): also Duaa's son son was killed: In loving memory of Duaa, a courageous journalist, and her beloved son, who tragically became martyrs on October 26, 2023, due to an aerial strike by the Israeli forces. Duaa's unwavering dedication to journalism and her son's innocence and promise for a brighter future will forever inspire us. May they find eternal peace, and may their sacrifice fuel our commitment to justice, peace, and the pursuit of truth.

61 Yakoop Enan Alborsh
And this is Yakoob. A beautiful picture of a young photographer, with big dreams. This picture shows Yakoob with the symbol of the Palestinians in the background: olive trees. Now Yakoob is gone and the orchyard is destroyed.

89 Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Qara
The martyr journalist Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Qara graduated with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Al-Aqsa University in Gaza, and then obtained a master's degree in Journalism from the Islamic University. He worked as an academic lecturer at Al-Aqsa University and later as a journalist and photographer. Beloved by everyone and always smiling, he had a dream of becoming a famous journalist and conveying Palestine's voice to the world. His dream ended, and he was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on his home on November 10, 2023.

90 Mustafa Al-Sawaf
Writer and political analyst Mustafa Al-Sawaf was born in the city of Gaza on August 20, 1955. He obtained a bachelor's degree in media from Cairo University in Egypt in 1979. One of the most famous and oldest journalists in the Gaza Strip, he worked as a correspondent and editor for various Palestinian, Arab, and international media outlets, notably as a correspondent for the BBC network. He was also the former bureau chief of Al-Nahar Al-Maqdisiya newspaper in the nineties and the founder and former editor-in-chief of the first daily newspaper published from the Gaza Strip. He said, "I am close to people, their concerns, and their problems. If I praise the resistance, it's because it deserves praise, and if I criticize another side, it's because that's the reality." He and his family were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on their home on November 18, 2023.

91 Sari Mansour
Sari Mansour was one of the most famous journalists in Gaza, he worked as the director of the Quds News Agency and also worked for Al-Quds Channel. After the communication blackout and internet disruption, his wife sent him a handwritten message pleading: "I've been waiting for you along with the children since morning, and you didn't come. We've been very sad. I kept saying, 'He'll come now,' but you didn't. May God forgive you. Come tomorrow, have lunch with us." Sari and his colleague Husamah were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the Bureij camp on November 18, 2023.

92 Hassouna Salim
Hassouna Salim is a journalist from the Gaza Strip. He never stopped covering events since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7. He received numerous threats from the Israeli army and shared on TikTok, saying, “We are being threatened not to publish the truth through calls and text messages. Our message is that we will remain in the field, persistent.” His wedding was scheduled a month later, in December 2023. He dreamt of having a small, happy family and starting a new life with them. However, Israel carried out its threat, and he was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the Bureij camp on November 18, 2023.

98 Ahmed Fatima
Journalist Ahmed Fatima worked as a correspondent for the Cairo News Channel. He used to embrace children at Al-Shifa Hospital to reassure them and try to ease their fear due to the Israeli bombardment. He was kind-hearted and gentle, loved by all his colleagues. In every gathering of friends, he was present, and when absent, everyone asked about him. Ahmed was martyred in an Israeli bombardment while covering the news at the entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital on 14/11/2023.

102 Roshdi Sarraj
Roshdi Sarraj was the co-founder of Ain Media, which documented the stories of people in Gaza. As an important local voice, he was known by many foreign journalists as the "eye of Gaza." Apart from video storytelling, Sarraj loved swimming and horse-riding.

132 Osama Abu Safia
Osama was a brilliant med student in Gaza. He was killed along with many of his family members. Osama had a dream to go to the United States for his training. He had posted earlier that he passed the #USMLE exam, but his dreams were buried before they became a reality.

145 Ayat Khadoura
Khadoura, a Palestinian freelance journalist and podcast presenter, was killed along with an unknown number of family members in an Israeli airstrike on her home in Beit Lahya in northern Gaza, according to the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, the news website Arabi 21, and London-based Al-Ghad TV. Khadoura shared videos on social media about the situation in Gaza, including a November 6 video, which she called “my last message to the world” where she said, “We had big dreams but our dream now is to be killed in one piece, so they know who we are.”

146 Alaa Al Hassanat
Al Hassanat, a Palestinian journalist and presenter at AlMajedat Media Network, was killed, along with multiple members of her family, in an Israeli airstrike that hit her house in the Gaza Strip, according to the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, Quds News Network, and the Ramallah-based Palestinian news network SHFA. In 2015, Al-Hassanat wrote an article about the 2014 war on Gaza, in which she detailed what she endured, adding that “our role as journalists is now more important than ever.”

147 Belal Jadallah
Known locally as “the godfather of Palestinian journalists”, Jadallah was the chairman of the Gaza Press House - an organisation dedicated to training the region's future journalists. He was killed in his car in Gaza in an Israeli airstrike, according to the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate. Most journalists in the besieged Gaza knew Jadallah, and he had worked with many of them closely. His mentorship programmes helped many local journalists get started in their careers.

148 Abed Al-Halim Awad
A Palestinian media worker and driver for Al-Aqsa TV. Awad was killed in a strike on his home in the Gaza Strip, according to the London-based Al-Ghad TV, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes.

149 Amro Abu Hayah
A Palestinian media worker in the broadcast department of Al-Aqsa TV channel. Abu Hayah was killed in a strike in Gaza, according to the Jordan-based Roya News and the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.

150 Mosab Ashour
Mosab Ashour, a Palestinian photographer, was killed during an attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip but his death was not reported until November 18, soon after his body was discovered, according to the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.

152 Muhammad Abu Hassira
Abu Hassira, a journalist for the Palestinian Wafa news agency, was killed in a strike on his home in Gaza along with 42 family members, according to the agency.

153 Muhammad al-Jaja
Al Jaja was a media worker and the organizational development consultant at Press House-Palestine, which owns Sawa news agency in Gaza and promotes press freedom and independent media. He was killed in a strike on his home along with his wife and two daughters in the Al-Naser neighborhood in northern Gaza, according to the London-based news website The New Arab, the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, and the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.

141 Mohamed Ayyash
Ayyash, a Palestinian journalist and a freelance photographer, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on his home in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, along with 20 members of his family, according to the Amman-based news outlet Roya News, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, and the Palestinian Authority’s official news agency Wafa.

142 Mohamed Al-Zaq
Mohammad Al-Zaq, a Palestinian journalist and a social media manager for Al-Quds TV, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Shejaiya in northern Gaza, according to the Amman-based news outlet Roya News, the Ramallah-based news website Wattan TV, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, and the International Federation of Journalists.

143 Farah Omar
Farah Omar is a Lebanese reporter for Al-Mayadeen TV channel. She was killed by an Israeli strike in the Tayr Harfa area in southern Lebanon, close to the border with the occupied territories, according to Al-Mayadeen, Al-Jazeera, and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes. She was reporting on escalating hostilities across the Lebanese- Israeli border and gave a live update an hour before her death.

144 Rabih Al Maamari
Al Maamari, a Lebanese cameraperson for Al-Mayadeen TV channel, was killed by an Israeli strike in the Tayr Harfa area in southern Lebanon, close to the border with Israel, along with his colleague Farah Omar, according to Al-Mayadeen, Al-Jazeera, and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes.

151 Yahya Abu Manih
A journalist with Al-Aqsa radio channel, Abu Manih was killed in a strike in the Gaza strip, according to the Amman-based news outlet Roya News, Al-Jazeera, and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes.

167 Ahmad Abu Sama
An Israeli sniper murdered journalist Mohammed Abu Samra in north Gaza on December 10, raising the death toll among journalists to 82. He was killed by a sniper which means it was a targeted kill. Two days ago his twin brother, Ahmad Abu Sama, was murdered was also murdered. Here is a memory on Mohamed: Just heartbreaking.. I've known Mohammed from our advocacy groups and workshops back in 2016, 2017 and 2018. He was an amazing young man, a vibrant leader and a pure soul. We weren't that close, but I knew him enough to tell you he was a great man and will be remembered for his good deeds and advocacy for Palestine. 173. Marwan Tarazi
Marwan Tarazi and several family members were killed when Israel attacked the Orthodox Church of Porphyrius in Gaza. As a photographer, he was the “visual historian of Gaza” and preserved Gaza’s history through thousands of photographs taken over decades, including photographs of the historic Gaza photographer “Kegham.” Marwan worked in the city before and after the Nakba, capturing images of the Khan Yunis massacres and the Israeli army’s withdrawal in 1956, which were the only rare images at the time. #media #culture

118 Salma Mukhaimer (31)
Salma was an independent journalist visiting her family in Rafah when her family’s home was hit by an Israeli missile. She was killed alongside her parents and newborn son Ali. She is the 27th journalist to be killed by Israel during their war on Gaza.
